Stick Horse

A traditional stick horse is a children’s toy that consists of a horse’s head attached to the end of a long bar. It is mostly made out of wood and has a handle on each side of the hors’s head for small children to grab onto. However as designs and fabrication developed, other various materials like fabric or plush are used to make the horse look more real.

Hobby Horse

The Hobby Horse has a shorter bar, which allowes the rider to run and jump more easily. The classical disciplines like dressage and show jumping are performed with those horses. The coat colors and white markings on the head are inspired by real horses, and the Hobby Horse is outfitted with accessories commonly used in actual equestrian sports.
